
Dr. Barber is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan. He was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Dental Student Award and Membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National Dental Honor Society) prior to graduation. He then completed a General Practice Residency from the University of Utah, in which he gained extensive training in treating the medically compromised General dental patient. He then went on to complete an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Barber has received extensive training in advanced oral surgical procedures (impacted wisdom teeth, dental extractions, dental implants, bone grafting), outpatient anesthesia (sedation), orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), facial trauma and maxillofacial pathology. Dr Barberis aboard-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Care Life Support. He is actively involved in the community and enjoys volunteering his time to serve others, including the Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM) and Dental Lifeline Network. Dr. Barber also speaks fluent spanish.
Dr. Barber lives in Kansas City with his wife and 5 children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing basketball, tennis, snowboarding and exercising.
